Joint Statement on Climate Change

On June 7, 2005, the National Science Academies of Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America issued a joint statement endorsing the consensus reached by the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and calling on all governments to take "prompt action" to combat the threat of global warming. These nations include the entire Group of Eight (G8) and three of the largest developing countries.
